Behind the Numbers
Before the Mobile Market came to our block, I had to take two buses and walk a mile to buy fresh vegetables. Now I can bring my kids and they actually get excited about picking out produce.
The delivery driver always takes a moment to chat. Last winter when I fell ill, she called the office and they sent someone to check on me. This program is more than food — it's community.
My mom works two jobs in the summer. The lunch program at Zablocki Park means I eat a real meal every day and get to play with my friends. It's the best part of summer.
